Day 7 in Zanzibar and it finally hit me – some kind of African virus that kept me in the bathroom all day and made functioning basically impossible.It wasn’t until the third day that I ended up at a clinic, and that’s when the relief came.Melese and his team showed me what true African hospitality means and a care I received was honestly better than back home. After just a few hours I walked out feeling healthy and full of energy again.

I had water in my ear. The doctor there was super friendly and helpful. He rinsed it out and gave me ear drops. I went back the next day and they rinsed it again until everything was completely fine. As annoying as it is to have to go to the doctor on vacation, it wasn't a problem this way.
